Desperate for marriage, are you crazy? Finding someone to want to spend the rest of your life with is special, and the next logical step is to get married. I don't know a lot of women who are desperate for marriage, maybe a good guy to date but marriage, boy are you confused.

Well for one thing, its nice girl-friend talk...but it makes us seem more desperate than we actually are.
If you marry the right person then its just the greatest thing ever. There's that someone to share your thoughts, children and everything else with. If you're very into you career, there might come a day when you will get bored of it and just feel emptiness. If you have children they will grow up and move on one day and may leave you behind. I guess being married keeps you happier in those lonelier days. I personally believe being married makes a relationship more stable. We girls gotto be very wise when we decide who we want to marry

I think we are mildly brainwashed into thinking that a man will bring everything we ever will want or need. Although it was worse 20 years ago or more, there was not the financial help there is now, women didn't even get chances at good jobs, and men ruled the world more.It is a mindset thing, you can be happy alone,without the emotional turmoil that relationships bring, but money is still hard to get for most of us.

In today's world? Are ya crazy? I don't know one woman who is desperate to get married. I know some including myself who would like to be married, but desperate....NOT! Most women can take care of themselves and have enough respect and self-esteem to go it alone if need be. You are not looking through clear glasses my dear. Good question. I think its because girls are brought up with it. Barbie in a white dress, fairytales with the prince and the wedding at the end where everyone is happy. To have the perfect wedding/marriage you must find the perfect man first. I'd rather have the man and no wedding than a great wedding with the wrong man.

Cause they've been brainwashed to think that this is the most wonderful thing to ever happen in their lives. Little do they know that it is all an illusion and marriage, for most people is just a nightmare. You are stuck with someone who you either can't stand and turn into a bickering b!tch, or you are stuck with someone who can't stand you and you become a bickering b!tch.

Women like stability and are natural nuturers. Women used to marry very young years ago. Now, women want careers over families and they marry in their late 20's and 30's.

I'm a woman and I am not desperate to marry at all. I suppose its most peoples dream but not mine!! I think if you happy and contented just being single or living together then you don't worry about it.
