Planing for the big event - I pretty sure I can hire on some somewhat scanky strippers, but thenheard about a group of good burlesqu dancers who rock outto stuff like AC/DC. My fiancee likes both strippers and burlesque. Mature feedback wanted.

In my opinion, I would go the route of Burlesque dancers. It's his 40th birthday party, and strippers to me sounds like a bachelor party or college frat party, while with Burlesque dancers, you get beautiful women, scantily clad, but not trashy strippers ripping their clothes off for a buck. Burlesque to me is more about mystery and tease, and it's about the skin they aren't showing that's the real turn on. Besides, you could always go for Burlesque for the party, and provide him with a private strip tease later that night once everyone has left the party and it's only the two of you.

My opinion only - strippers bring the get together to just that level as you put it "skanky". Burlesque is sexy and much more appropriate for a mix crowd. It also happens to be very popular now. I have been watch Americas next top Model and they are trained in being sexy but not skanky in their poses and dancing and movements. Burlesque dancers were used to train them and the models looked much classier. To me, the classiness of the burlesque will set the tone for your party. For a 40th birthday party classy beats skanky anytime.

I agree with some of the other answers that Burlesque is more classy, and he will have just as much fun. Sounds like your going to give him a party he will never forget :)

Burlesque, definately. Especially if you are inviting others to the event. This way it is a bit more classy and others feel more comfortable.

Strippers are tacky. Burlesque is sensual and fun (but still has class) I would opt for Burlesque.
Whatever you choose....HAVE FUN!!!

Cant you think of anything a little more original..strippers have been done to death....burlesques not far behind...neither would appeal to me...

I would go with burlesque--if they are good they can make it last longer and get more creative. As for strippers...once they're naked then they're finished.

Neither. Why would you bring other women to see your man & dance naked for him? Strippers , ect dance naked, or did you forget?
