Supposedly,Ramirez didn't hustle at times during Baker's tenure and probably knows Piniella isn't going to put up with that.If the third baseman does leave, who replaces him?

Daniel M,I guess he would be an improvement over Mr.Glaus or whoever their starter is right now.

Ramirez is incredibly expensive ($11-13mil per year). It will be very hard to move him. Piniella said he wanted Cubs to make a run at A-Rod. I haven't heard the media talk about it but this is a trade that maybe makes sense for both teams and is close to financially equitable as you will get. If Yanks eat $7-8mil of A-Rods salary and Cubs pick up $5-6mil of his salary then I don't see why this won't work.

Only problem is that Aramis is a fan favorite in Chicago. If they don't replace him with an A-Rod caliber player the fans will be pissed. But then again, what's new about a Cub fan being angry?

ramirez is absolutely gone, hes expensive and it seems the only time he shows promise is against the cardinals when he goes 4 for 4 with a pair of homers, other than that...he sucks, with a-rod struggling this year, the yankees are looking to trade him away, the cubs are also looking to trade injury prone mark prior and kerry wood is a free agent, the yankees are looking to aquire both of them so the cubs should have a huge salary free up to bring in a-rod, cubs fans finally have something to look forward next season....but theyll still have a lot of work

Ramirez will look awfully good hitting 35 HRs in an Angels uniform next season...

Glaus has been long gone, right now we've really got no one. I'd probably be a better 3B than what the Angels have right now...

Ramirez is gone. No way he goes back to the Cubs.

There are other teams out there who are willing to pay more for him anyway.

If the Yanks move A-Rod, look for Aramis to land in the Bronx.

Why would anyone want to do that? I don't think its anybodys dream to grow up and play on a sorry team your whole life. Run Aramis Run as fast as you can...
