I'd wait more like a month, AT LEAST. Like the others said, use Roundup to kill it all. Keep watering the dirt. I guarantee more will come up in a week or so. Spray whatever comes up. Keep watering. Kill, water, kill, water... etc... You have to be patient because that stuff is a major pain in the ***. You want to be sure to kill ALL of it before you lay the new sod. If that stuff comes up after you lay the new sod, you'll never get rid of it. Trust me, it happened to me in the front. We're re-doing the back now, and I'm doing the same thing. I'm going on six weeks on mine, and it's still coming up. BE PATIENT!!!

Cipher has got it right. There is no easy, quick way to kill Bermuda grass. We do a lot of lawns with this problem, but we
don't have 6-9 weeks to do it right and the customers don't
want to wait that long anyway. What we do is take a weed eater
and scalp the bermuda as close as possible. Then we lay down
new sod. With correct watering, the new grass will choke out
the bermuda and while it may still be there, you'll never notice it.
It might creep into the bed areas but it's easily controlled if you
stay on top of it

Try "Roundup" to kill the bermuda grass because it won't hurt the soil. After 3-4 days you'll be able to lay your sod and the bermuda won't grow through because the grass will keep it out. Be careful that you don't get a poison that prevents planting for a long period or that sterlizes the soil because your sod would do not well at all or would die. This is why I suggested Roundup. which can be purchased at any Home Depot, Lowes or Ace Hardware.

glysophate glycine is the main ingredient in roundup... there are of brands that have higher concentrations for a lot less ... almost half the price... look for the off brand...do it on a sunny day... if the bermuda is already dormant ... it won't work

roundup absorbs thru the leaves and takes the poison to the roots.... where it kills the whole plant...

Not really. Devil Weed is a good description. Poison repeatedly with Round-up or a similar product. Only works when it is growing, not when it is dormant.
