I'm on a tight budget so it's going to have to be DIY.

Being that it is Halloween. This is not such a morbid question today. Here goes first you have to skin the carcass very carefully as not to damage the texture of the fur and features. You should that take it to your local taxidermy place to have the hide properly cured and set. It is unlikely that you could do this at home. In a week your wife's dead dog is now ready to wear. She'll love it.

That is so sad, being a dog lover I know how gutted she must be. Personally if I was her I wouldn't like a neck warmer. How about just having the dog stuffed, Get a knife and you know empty out the insides. You could buy stuffing out of a shop somewhere or if you're that skint, nick some from your wifes cushions or pillows. Then she could use the dog as a pillow as well. I'm sure she will over the moon with this. Or you could just bury it sicko!!! HA HA.

Hit her very hard across the head with a shovel and bury them together, but don't tell her cos it''ll ruin the surprise.

I know you must be joking. Anyway, if you are serious I can't help you, but did find this site, which may be an alternative.

Wouldn't a pair of slippers be easier? You'll get a lot more use from them.
