If you don't like stores like that, why don't you try shopping at department stores, i.e. Macy's, Nordstroms, Nordstrom Rack, Bloomingdales, Mervyn's, Kohl's, Marshall's, Ross, JCPenny, Sears, etc. Stores like AE, Hollister, & Abercrombie have similar style - the young urban look. I am guessing you're probably growing out of that phase and are going for the slightly older look, as much as you hate to admit it.

I would recommend Macy's if you have a store near where you live. You can actually find really good deals there. And even better deals if you have a Macy's credit card, because on some (most) weekends you get an additional 10-20% off when you charge it on your Macy's card. Geez, I sound like a Macy's salesperson and I'm not even getting paid for it!

You didn't mention stores like Gap, Old Navy, or Aeropostale. So if you don't like the expensive stores (i.e. Abercrombie, Hollister, & American Eagle), then try shopping at these slightly cheaper places. Old Navy has the best deals though! Quality is slightly lower, but price is really good and some items are pretty cute too.

The Buckle offers Lucky Clothing brand among others. Chances are the same person will like Pac Sun, which stocks Quicksilver, Billabong, Arnett and other surf gear.....

The Gap and The Buckle are my favorite places to buy guy's jeans.

Aeropostale sells very nice T-shirts and Polos, and also has an awesome clearence section!

Gap, Express, Hot Topic, The Buckle, Pac Sun, L.L. Bean, J. Crew, this is about all I can think of, but I am sure there are a lot more.
