Do they think it is another Baby?
Or do they catch on after a while and they know it's them

Sometimes I wish I could just dive into their little minds and find out what they think when they see anything for the first time. That puzzled look they always seem to have - - it's absolutely adorable.

Yea, I think at first they might think another baby is smiling at them, but they do catch on after a while... my son will move, and look at himself, or he will see me in the mirror too, and know it's the two of us.

They think its another baby. Later they will figure it out and know it them self.
My 6 month old child laugh and smiles at the baby in the mirror. It really funny to watch.

By the time they are 20 years old they know....
Actually my boy is 5 month old and I see him having difficult time to understand what he sees in the mirror. But he smiles at himself when he is in good mood, when he's in bad mood he starts to cry looking at himself...Go figure...

my son is 5 months old. When we put him in front of a mirror he tends to look up and see the reflection of the light and this captures his attention. Himself ..he has no interest.

I don't think they know what they are looking at but my mama has a picture of me when I was a baby looking into a mirror and I was
smiling at my reflection.My mama said I would spend hours just staring at my reflection.She said I was fascinated with it but she
said I always looked kind of bemused,like I just couldn't figure out
who I was looking at.

I heard somewhere that babies know it is them in the mirror and they are much happier looking at pictures of other babies.
