I have had my gamecube games for a long time, and I'd like another to break my cycles of routine:

online reviews aren't very informative for me, I like games that are more fantasy rpg type, but live action battles are cool. I also like novelty, open endedness and storylines. the games I have so far are smash brothers melee, phantasy star online episodes I II and III, i ninja, gladius, and mortal kombat deception.

of the games I don't have, and don't know about, which are many, what others games would ye suggest I look into?

well, if you like rpg's, then tales of symphonia is a must for the GC. if the story dosent get ya then its the battle system. the number of combos you could pull off is amazing. if not, then i suggest RE4. THE best game for the GC. guns, blowing stuff up, guns, chainsaws, and the all-time favorite, ovenman(you'll see what i'm talking about) not only that, the game has active-cutscenes which means that if you put your control down for a cutscene, then that means that you just might die. :)

Luigi's Mansion is definitely my favorite game for GameCube. I would also recommend: Any of the Legend of Zelda series (Ocarina of Time/Master Quest GameCube Edition, Majora's Mask GameCube edition, Four Swords Adventures, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess) Starfox Adventures Tales of Symphonia (over 80 hours of gameplay and anime-style graphics) Pokemon Colosseum The Sims Harvest Moon Super Monkey Ball 2 Wave Race: Blue Storm I have played all of these games and find them very entertaining. Paper Mario is also a cute game, and so is Super Mario Sunshine if you are a fan of Super Mario 64 or Super Mario Galaxy.

I have a warm spot in my heart for all video game consols. Current gen, Next Gen and Retro game consols. There is plenty of room for all of them and all of them have a following of some kind. As far as Gamecube goes. Final Fantacy Crystal Chronicals was a fun game to play and it has an ending. It doesnt follow the final fantacy formula very much but its fun and very compelling. Though some might not agree with me I enjoyed this game.

I absolutely LOVE Animal Crossing: Population Growing. In it's game you somewhat follow a story line. you have to pay off your house debt, make friends with the neighbors, and things like running errands for the neighbors. I like this game because you never see the same thing twice and it NEVER ends!!!
