today, i was on my way home from university via the bus and along the way, there were some youths who at one point threw an egg at the window. i was wondering if you'd expereinced any attacks by mindless yobs with eggs. did you get hit? what did you do afterwards? and what do you think about the idea of shops banning kids from buying eggs on hallowean, in case they attack people with them? do you live near shops that doesn't sell eggs to children?

serious answers only please

my corner shop sells any thing to children, i haven't experienced egg attacks tho, its been rather quite tonight and Ive only had a few youngsters calling all dressed up and excited because of Halloween, its mindless idiots who cause mayhem on these occasions that spoil it for the young children, what does cause me concern tho is the amount of fireworks being thrown around by youths

No, but once, while trick-or-treating, I remember, a creepy old man gave me an egg instead of candy. At the time, I was about ten, and I had no use for it (I never really developed a taste in pranks) so I gave it to my brother, who threw it st our fence. That was very long ago, but I still remember it vividly. My car has had bologna placed on it, (I had to get it repainted... that jerk!) and I wasn't so happy. Anyway, my local Cumberland Farms won't sell eggs on the night before Halloween, or Halloween. Doesn't make much sense, because kids can get eggs three days before.

I did not see a single notice up about kids and eggs in my local shops all this week and even today! Luckily it's been the most quietest Halloween for where I live.

I have only had two people knocking the door and both of them small children.

I have never been attacked on halloween, but I don't understand why they throw eggs anyway - I mean what have eggs got to do with halloween and if they're gonna throw random food products why not go for flour or tomoto sauce or something more messy??? No seriously, I don't think shops should stop selling eggs to children I mean thats just funny, can you imagine a sign alongside the no cigarettes and alcohol to children like - Anyone caught selling or attempting to buy on their behalf dairy produce including eggs, be it hen or duck or any other egg type product will be prosecuted - hee hee!

Yes, it hurt very badly too! I was walking down the steps of my house starting to go trick or treating when i was 7 and then these *****- teenagers ran up to be through eggs and shaving cream, AT MY HEAD! I cried took of my costume and never when out for two more years! I am 12 now, im not going out anymore, but i do think it is good that they dont sell eggs to minors, but they are going to buy them ahead of time, steal them from in their home, parnets home refrigerator, etc. And still get away with it. So, nothing you can really do about it. ITS LIFE?!?!?!?

No but an old lady who lived on my street did last year. it was disgustng they'd attack this poor old soul who was just making her way back from the corner shop on Hallowe'en night.

My mum had her door egged a few times because she doesn't answer the door to Trick or Treaters. And when I was a kid I had broken up my friendship with a group of kids I was supposed to go trick or treat with, and they came over to our house and egged the door late on Hallowe'en night. My mum went straight over to tell their parents though and they got bollocked!!!

Our local shop has notices up saying they won't sell anything that could be used "as a missile" to kids on Hallowe'en. Eggs, flour etc.

Yes, I was like 10 and i was with my friends asking trick or treat and suddenly a band of youngsters in a van passed by, the opened the back door and threw at everyone of us eggs. It was so awful. We felt very ashamed and sad.

When I was like 18 years old i did the same shi*t to some people waiting on the bus stop. Today i regret it a LOT. But i guess it was a kind'a revenge....

The other day some youths were throwing mud and stones at my house, I went out later found the ring leader, grabbed him and took a photo of him with my mobile phone. Once I had the photo I warned of the potential consequences to his health if anything like this happened again. So tonight's been quiet!!

no,but in Texas I saw pumpkins thrown by HighSchool teens in trucks for a full week around Halloween! Some were working at the groceriy stores as stockers until they got caught! there were too many witnesses that read their license plate and reported them! after all a pumpkin at 40mph will take out a windshield or headlamp!!
