Define "costs more". On my last trip through London, just 3 weeks ago, Red Bull cost me 2 GPB ($4 USD). In Ukraine, it cost me 11 UAH ($2.10 USD). In Lithuania, it cost me 5 litas ($2 USD).
They all seem pretty equally priced (except 2x in UK because of the UK's 2 to 1 exchange rate with the US).

Firstly the U.K. is in Europe!
Secondly since the U.K. wont join in the fun of using the yoyos for currency we are all getting ripped off!
Thirdly it is seen as something special by these countries when realistically a few espressos after a few shots of vodka will do the same job as that foul tasting Red Bull stuff.
By the way did you know that coke is cheaper than water in some countries and more widely available because coke provide the collers and the vending machines and the electricity to run them even in mad places like the desert!
