I am oblivious to sarcasm when somone says it in a flat tone or a tone that is not very sarcastic. If the sarcasm isnt very good or clear I usually take it seriously or as a joke but not sarcasm.However being a very sarcastic person myself I do usually understand it. Language is about response or the way somethign is spoken not about what is said for 75 persent of the time. Thats why oral exam voices are allways flat so you dont get hints from the pitch or raise of volume and voice.

no i can pick up on it very well, i live in a sarcastic family, some of my friends have mild sarcasm and i also use it. i love people who don't get it, they are my favorite, seriously
