Not to early for BH contractions. I was 18 weeks when mine started.
I wouldnt worry unless you saw blood or funny colored discharge.
BH contractions are normal and will go away in time. Normally they are not regular either. They come and go in spurts...even though they might hurt...if they are not regular and you dont have bleeding or discharge...dont worry. : )

It isn't too early for Braxton Hicks.
Braxton Hicks' contractions, also known as false labour (British English, false labor in American English) or practice contractions, occur during the second or third trimester of pregnancy. It is a tightening of the uterine muscles for one to two minutes and is thought to be an aid to the body in its preparation for birth. Not all expectant mothers have these contractions which can start as early as 20 weeks into the pregnancy. They are thought to be part of the process of effacement, the thinning and dilation of the cervix.

20 weeks isn't too early for braxton hicks contractions. I got them around that time and so had some of my friends. They say that to keep that from happening, make sure that you drink enough water - BH contractions can be caused by dehydration.

Yes, I had Braxton Hicks when I was about 5 months along too. You'll continue to have it off and on until labor. As long as you don't have abdominal pain accompanying the tightness on a regular basis, you should be fine.

It's not too early, I had Braxton Hicks starting at 18 weeks. My OBGYN told me that you have contractions from the very beginning but that you cant feel them early on. It's normal.

It very well COULD be braxton hicks. I've had three kids. I wouldn't worry about it as long as you are keeping your docs informed, and you are not dilating. They should not be painful, maybe just a little uncomfortable or weird feeling.

It is normal for your muscles to do that for some people depending on the position of the fetus. If your not spotting I wouldn't worry about it that much. But if you start spotting with that then go to the ER ASAP

It could be the baby moving. Is your baby active in your stomach? My daughter was breech and her head use to roll across my upper part of my stomach making it really hard, but then it would subside when she was moving. It could just be the baby shifting around.

Sure, it's just the baby moving around. As long as there's no pain, you're fine.
Good luck and stay healthy!
