My sisters boyfriend drives a tractor trailer. (On the road for days, then off, owns his own rig) She is going to go with him working in Jan. He is promising her a "large" piece of land with a ranch, and horses. Is this something that can be affordable with this type of job, or is he just giving her a line.

It is possible to make good money if you don't mind working all the time, and not being home at all. If he wants to take her with him to drive they will be sleeping when they are not driving. My experience is that you can see a lot of wonderful places, but you don't really make that much money driving.
