Wow, you know, there are so many talented writers, both musically and lyrically, to choose from.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was the first of the true geniuses known to modern history... there were others before him who were quite talented, but he was the first Rock Star.
Others of Great Talent include Burt Bacharach, Johnny Rivers, Hank Williams Sr, Paul McCartney, Michael Jackson (though he gives me the creeps), Kurt Cobain, Danny Elfman.
Women aren't so prevalent... and though there are some incredible female talents, I would only count Tia Sillers as being at that level of the list. Although maybe Joan Baez, Carly Simon, and Alannis Morrisette are pretty high on the list, too.
