Telling a lie because it lasts longer haha. A fart is over and done with in a matter of seconds and a lie can come back to haunt you over time.

i hate being lied to, the hurt feelings that go with the lie last for a long time. farting is just smelly and goes away.

That's a tough one but I'd have to say that I'm more annoyed by a fart (especially the silent but deadly kind--UGH!) but telling a lie just plain makes me angry. Its even worse when someone farts and then lies about it not being them.

farting isnt annoying persay...it does make the whole room smell like crap but....it fades....a lie stays forever and is sooo annoying!they're lead you to thinkin one thing, then you find out it's another then you're mad at them for lyin to you....you get mad or annoyed in both situations, but you forget whoever ever farted, but remember who and when they lie...

Both - farting and then lying about it by (for ex.) blaming it on the dog!
