yes- but easter has nothing to do with Jesus Resurrection- he was our Passover lamb- he died at Passover (which is not just a Jewish holiday but a tradition passed from God to all of Israel not just the tribe of Judah) easter- aka ishtar- asherim poles are easter poles- the tradition began in Babylon- she was a fertility goddess hence the rabbit and eggs are fertility symbols- why we dye them- we varied the colors here in the U.S. but in Greece they are still dyed red- the priests of that cult would have intercourse with virgins on the alter at sunrise- and the following year they would sacrifice the babies they conceived on that same alter and dye the eggs red in their blood- nice hugh- God warned us not to do the things that the other people did when he brought us out of slavery from Egypt- Constantine the roman emperor changed everything even the day we worship Jesus- from sat to Sunday- people say they know that it is a pagen holiday and say that God does not care if we do it as long as we do it for him- but He calls these things abominations- and I worship him not them!

Easter is all about Jesus being ressurected from the tomb. He was killed on Good Friday, and rose from the dead on Easter Sunday. And I have never even heard of Esh-tar. As far as im concerned, this "Esh-tar" can go jump in a lake! She has nothing to do with Jesus

The first answer is right on! Exactly! Ignorance is just going by what you learned growing up, or by what your Mom or Dad told you. Just going by what you think, without any factual information is not wisdom. "You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free!" Dec 25th was also the birthday of Rah the sun god for many years and Constantine changed it to Jesus birthday. He also made an idol of Mary so the pagans would assimilate into Christianity and have a goddess to worship. Constantine refused to allow the Biblical feast days to be celebrated and killed those who did not follow his directives. Just do a little research. Jesus was likely born during Sukkot. Just because you believe or have been taught something, doesn t mean it s fact. The popes have professed to be God on the earth and infallible and that the authority of their words are above the word of God. Check the Catholic canon. The Bible says to "be wise as serpents and harmless as doves." Foolishness has a great cost, be wise! "15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." 2 Tim 2:15

Easter is not about Jesus, The Roman Catholic church, changes many of the pagan holidays, to be"ChristiaN" holidays. We now call it Resurrection Sunday. We don't even take our kids to egg hunts anymore.
