I am taking Life Brand Prenatal Vitamin and a regular multivitamin. Is that okay? I'm worried it might be too much.

You should only take the prenatal. It has everything you need. Some vitamins will just flush right out of your body if you take too much, but others can cause problems in high amounts. By taking both pills, you run the risk of "overdosing."

you probably don't need to be taking all the extra vitamin. Mostly because you can have other problems that arise from taking too much. Like kidney stones from the extra calcium....

I would stick with just the prenatal vitamin.

I do know that Excessive amounts of Vitamin A can increase your risks for birth defects, so it is better to only take one vitamin. There is no reason to get more vitamins that your body needs, it is only excess and can end up hurting you or your baby. As always, speak with your OB about all medications and vitamins!!

don't take a regular vitamin if you are taking prenatal vitamins... it can be too much-doctors prescribe the prenatal vitamins, and it covers all the needs for you and your baby.

Some doctors say that it won't hurt because vitamins clean out your system and anything that it doesn't need, it just releases when you go to the bathroom, but you don't have to take them both!!

To much. Way to much. Both have iron (Prenatal have double the iron) to much iron can kill you. You need to only take one of them. I would say that if you are trying to have conceive, you need to only take the prenatal. That is all unless the doctor tells you to take another type.

NO! It is NOT OK! You'd be overdosing on some vitamin.
