How could the Singapore Dr. estimate 6-7 weeks pregnant if he couldn't find a baby to measure? That doesn't make sense. I would go to another Dr. before this one decides you need a D&C to clean you out and then finds out that you truely ARE pregnant . . . that's just a lawsuit waiting to happen.
Good luck!

You may not have miscarried yet. Did the ultrasound show an empty sack? If so, this type of pregnancy is called a Blited Ovum. The baby stopped developing at an early age, but you continue to have a sack. You should naturally miscarry within the next 6 weeks or you can have a D+C to drain the sack and remove any remaining tissue.

There are many possible reasons for miscarriage, and a lot of the time all the doctors can do is to make an informed guess! If you have miscarried then the foetus could already have come away from the uterus which is why its not showing.

I had the same problem... I had an ultrasound at 5 weeks, but by tests, or whatever else, they thought I should have been 12 weeks at least... so they thought the baby had died... well, I had another ultrasound at 7 weeks, and they saw the sac and everything they needed, which was great! So just wait a little bit, don't stress out too much... your baby could still be there... just give it a little time to grow more if it is still alive... I was scared to death myself at first. Goodluck! I hope everything goes well!

I'm really sorry.
My friend had a miscarriage in the spring, she went in to have her ultrasound at about 16 weeks and they told her that the baby was registering as a 6 week old and told her they could just be wrong about her date and to come back in 3 days for a blood test, but she ended up in the ER the next night, and she did infact, have a miscarriage. I know it isn't what you want to hear but it is very possible.

It is possible that you have what is called a blighted ovum. This is where the placenta attaches and is in your uterus but for whatever reason the baby stops growing. It looks like a big black void on the sonagram. These ususally end up in miscarriage but while you still have if you take a pregnancy test it will be positive.

If one dr says you are pregnant, then you probably are. Maybe something was wrong with the doctors machine in Singapore. I would go back for the check up, but, if the results sound funny this time, I'd find a different Dr. in Singapore.
