If you listen to the liberal pundits, they are going to take over the House of Representatives and the Senate. If you look at most of these races, they are too close to call. You would think with this great groundswell of anti Bush voters, these races wouldn't even be close. What gives?

The media and the sources that do the polling are all democrats and they skewed the sample toward democrats and people who think like themselves. People in New York and liberals in the beltway. But where real people live, we believe the war in Iraq is neccessary to keep the terrorists away from america. real americans don't want to get blown up. If the terrorists do manage to do another 9-11, it will be nuclear, and many more Americans will die.

In any election, you have the registered Democrats who vote right along the party lines, and you have the registered Republicans who vote right along the party lines. Most of the time the number of registered Democrats is very close to the number of registered Republicans, and that's the main reason why most of the races are being declared "too close to call." So who really decides who wins? The ever-important undecided voters. It's that crowd that the campaigning and advertising is aimed at, and the party with the political platform that sways the undecided vote is the party that wins.

The Democrats are leaning heavily on the so-called failure of the Iraq War and the recent Capitol Hill scandals to sway voters their way. The Republicans, however, are quick to point out that the economy is improving and the Democrats have no plan for the Iraq War OR the economy. It'll be interesting to see how it all falls out, but I'm betting it won't be a landslide either way.

Democrats are going to gain half of the seats they need in order to control the house before you look at the 18 or so too close to call races. All they have to do is win half and a couple of the two dozen races where republicans are more likely to win, but still close to get 18 seats. They need 16.

Statistically they could easily win 25 seats. There is no way republicans can win enough of these races to stop a democrat majority. Republicans simply don't have enough money or people.

Many Americans vote for the candidate, not the party. The Republicans are in trouble since most are in "lock-step" with Bush. To quote: "I don't belong to any organized political party - I'm a Democrat!"
