I think that is interesting ladylorena, concrete is usually a warm grey colour and in my view warm grey and brushed silver can look stylish in a modern setting.

Hmmm. I think you're going to have to retry that question in a couple of days. I did think of white after I read the question; however, that's like the old trick: "Don't think of a monkey riding a horse!" After something has been mentioned, you cannot help but think of it. I think you should ask something closer to, 'when you think of a modern room, what is the primary color of the room?"

I think that would give you a better idea of what people actually think.

No way. All white walls are very 90's. Modern interiors make me think of light neutrals like sage and taupe, or bold patterns.

No, I think in color. Soft colors with darker trim.
Tan wall with chocolate trim. Ocean blue with navy trim.
White walls only with color trim - say, red, for example.
