I would stay put, but thats me. The reason I say this is two fold; If where you are you can save a lot of money then not only can you save to move on and do something better but you could also visit Milan if thats where you really want to travel to. You could go anywhere. You dont sound overly thrilled with the job in Milan any more than in Italy. Stay save up the cash and make your future goal to get into what you love.

Well, that's exactly the problem, I am not in your shoes. You have framed the question well, but the answer boils down to your personal preference. The trade off you have created appears to be a cheaper more secure life with savings to accumulate, but a more sedate life style in a job where you will not be happy; versus a more expensive, probably less secure, more exciting life with a job that you enjoy more. Do you value security and savings over excitement and culture? I pick the latter for myself, only you can choose for yourself.

Stay there, save some money, invite me to move in with you and then we can move to Milan together! :) Kidding of course! But hey, Italia is a place that I've always wanted to go to! My suggestion is to stay and save $ so you have a backup for when you go to a place where you want to go and spend a lot of $ on rent, etc.

i don't know, hard one, I just wished i lived where you are. I'm just stuck here in America. What a life, huh?
Probably stay where you are now. Cuz u don't have to waste a bunch of $$ on rent, even though ur job sucks. Ur not living at your job though! and u get ur weekend!

I would stay there and save my money, then when I have enough to be secure, I would go to Milan.
