I am having a boy! I am stuck on names... I like William Landon. My husband is doesn't really like it. He likes William, that is his name, but not the Landon so much. Anyone have suggestions? Do you think there are and teasing that could go along with the name?
Thanks everyone!~!

I think that if I named him William Landon, We would still call him Landon. Is that too confusing for children?

what about using your father's or your husbands father's name as the middle name.

Landon is a cute name, but don't use it for the middle name if you're going to call him that. It actually sounds better as Landon William. I don't like William, at all, it's awful, but sense it is after your husband, then I understand. However, if you use William as the first name, it's going to be confusing on a lot of things, and he'll get called this a lot.

Yeah, I think that would be to complicating through out life, if your gonna name him William, thats what you should call him by. I like Landon, but for some reason I dont relly care for William. Plus when he gets older, he'll prolly eventually have a nickname for his friends to call him, cause when he gets older, he may not like the name either. Maybe you should consider naming him Landon William, that way you can call him Landon but still have his fathers name.

I adore the name William, especially Will for short. It's your husband's child too, so he should have a say. If you like the name Landon, why don't you keep the initial? I think William Laurence sounds nice.... or go with something new! I really like:
William Hayden
William Jackson
William Peter.
AND CONGRATS!

I was going to name my son William. BUT then people told me that William is also shot for Will, Bill or Billy. Personally I didn't like those nicknames.
I like Landon, But if I were you I would reconsider William.

William seems to be such a formal name and so 9 times out of 10 it is put into a nick name and well sorry thats usuall Bill or Billy which seems a bit hilbilly and a good teaser name for mean kids @ school! I love family names my sons is a family name but a middle name not a first cause its different! so i would consider William as a middle name and choose good on the first name!

I think its a perfectly nice name, and no i dont see any
special "teasing potential" there...
i think Landon is really nice but if your husband doesnt like is you might want to reconsider.
I suggest using the baby name suggestion tool found on this site:
http://www.babyhold.com
you'll get diffrent short lists of names and get plenty of ideas!!!
Good luck

I love the names Gabriel, Aidan, James and Adrian. I think all of those would go well with William either as a middle name or the first name.
