Our Lady of Guadalupe refers to an appearance of the Virgin Mary at Tepeyac, a hill northwest of what is now Mexico City in 1531. She is considered important because this is the first recorded appearance of the Virgin in the New World. Allegedly after identifying herself, she requested that a church be built in her name at that location. The name Guadalupe is a place name and may mean the valley of the wolf.....

Our Lady of Guadalupe refers both to the Marian apparition (apparition of Virgin Mary) to St. Juan Diego Cuauhtlatoatzin on the hill of Tepeyac near Mexico City from December 9 through December 12, 1531; and to the 16th century painting of the Virgin Mary that is housed in the Basilica of Guadalupe today.

She is one of the Marion apparitions. The Virgin Mary. She has different name in different places.Wherever she appears, she will take on the appearance of that areas people.
All the appearances are called the Marion Apparitions.
