The SENCO will liaise with class teachers about the progress of specific children and will advise them of strategies that can be used to support children in the classroom.
He/she will also be present if there are any meetings with outside agencies, such as educational psychologists /speech therapists etc.
Sometimes the SENCO will be involved in teaching small withdrawal groups for extra support, though this is not always the case.
Hope this helps!
