I have morning sickness 24/7, bad! I dont throw up, but I cant get anything down. I am very nauseated! I am getting really upset lately, I am only 7 weeks 4 days and I dont know if I can handle being pregnant. That is horrible to say because this baby is very much wanted but I am scared to death to see what else comes along, I want to be excited but how can I? any advice or did anyone else go through this? I really hope my sickness goes away soon.

I had the same thing!!!!! All day every day until 2 weeks ago (I'm at 14 weeks) They say we're all different but what helped me was keeping a small amount of food in my stomach at all times, like crackers, yogurt, dry cereal, fruit and other small things. I hope that helps you, I really had the same feelings as you, I was thinking if this is how it goes for 9 months I'm never getting pregnant again, but since it has passed and now I'm just tired, I think maybe I'll get pregnant again,. I hope you feel better soon, if you can't keep the small meals down try some gingersnap cookies or celery that seemed to help when it got really bad. Best wishes, I'll pray it passes soon for you!!

You poor love. Hang on in there.
I am 18 weeks with my first and felt exaclty the same way so you are not alone. You can feel very low and also frightened because it is all so new and extreme. I thought it would go on for ever but it does reduce then disappear in most cases atfer around 10 weeks - it was worst for me between 6 and 9 weeks then suddenly went. I also got very painful gas/wind in the middle of the night which was a bit of a shock.

You MUST eat - a little every 2 hours. Just nibble some biscuits or toast and have a glass of milk or fruit juice - you WILL feel better if you eat but if you don't it will get worse and worse. Also eat a little before you go to bed which will make you feel better in the morning.

I bought a CD off the internet called Morningwell through the Natural Childbirth Trust which claimed to get rid of the sickness.
It has some sounds and music which you listen to twice a day I don't know how it works but it did!

I also talked to my local midwife who was very supportive and gave me some tips.

Try to look on the positive side that morning sickness is a good sign that your hormones are working as they should. Doctors seem to be more concerned it you don't get any at all than if it is bad!

Try all the tips you get from this site as some of them will def work and make you feel much better.

Hang in there honey! It will get better! The first trimester (first 3 months) is always the worst. I had some morning sickness all the way through and I found what helped the most was to eat just a little several times during the day. I noticed if I kept the found bland (toast, applesauce, bananas) it seemed to calm it down some. It can be hard to be exicited in the beginning when you feel so bad and it seems there is not end in sight. Once you feel the baby start moving, believe me you will be excited. No two people are the same but I hope this helps some.

Unfortunately I was sick my entire pregnancy for my most recent baby. But for my first, it ended around my fourth month. And with mine, I did vomit all the time. At least 3 times a day. There are some things that your doctor can give you to make the nausea go away, but it will probably go away by the fourth month. That's what my doctor says is typical. My doctor prescribed Unisom, which is over the counter medicine. It is for sleep, but it helps with nausea. You have to make sure you get the tablets and not the gel caps. It will make you very tired, though. Don't worry, pregnancy actually gets fun around the second trimester. And if not, it's only a few more months. And then you'll have a wonderful new little person to love. It's worth it. God bless you and good luck!

I was one of the very few lucky ones. I didn't have morning sickness. I had what you call "sleeping sickness" I wanted to sleep all the time my first couple of months. I guess I slept through the nausea :). But most women I knew were not so lucky. Some had morning sickness just the way you describe it. Yes, it does pass eventually. Usually by your 2nd or 3rd month of pregnancy. My cousin was one who suffered with morning sickness big time. Her Dr. advised her to eat soda crackers every time she felt nausea comeing on. It helped her a lot. Ask your Dr's opinion on this. Good luck. I hope this will be over for you very soon so you can enjoy the blessed event of pregnancy and then birth.

For me the only thing I could keep down was fruit, in small quantites. Then after a few weeks I could manage some grains, then some wheat, then after a few months meat again.

Try to find what you can eat. Try to eat as much protein as possible. Try to eat small amounts all day. Try b12, try ginger, try the seasickness bands. But if nothing works for you go to the doctor and get some medication. You will get through this!

BTW *most* morning sickness goes away or at least gets better around 12-14 weeks.

with my first two sons..I had horrible sickness around the clock as you do! I would say it lasted until right before the end of my first trimester..normal! I tried flat gingerale...flat coke, try caffeine free because coke settles your stomach...saltine crackers & try maalox..my doctor told be this coats your stomach with all of the extra acid and such..ask your doc first but it worked for me. And now you're not alone!! I didn't know if I was going to get through it either..but when it finally breaks and you start feeling better..it will all be worth it! Just wait till you start feeling your little miracle moving around..it's the best thing in the world. Hang in there and try to get atleast crackers or dry toast down..an empty stomach is worse..or ask about the maalox..take a little of that ..wait a few & then try to eat some crackers & gingerale! GOOD LUCK & CONGRATS

It will go away. What helped me was saltines and ginger ale. I would eat saltines in the morning before getting out of bed and helped immensely. Give it a shot, you have nothing to loose but I promise it will get better. I am 11 weeks and 2 days and I am almost over it. For the most part I feel fine, just tired. Congrats...

I was the same way with my first son.I threw up morning, noon and night, for
seven months,I couldn't stand the smell of anything even when I was hungry,I
made sure my doctor knew what was going on.The big thing is to stay hydrated and try to eat small snacks through out the day.Being pregnant was not my favorite thing either but the end result is fantastic.I wouldn't change a
thing. My two boys are my world besides my husband. It's all worth it in the end.

high-fat foods and meat are supposed to make morning sickness worse, so try to eat low fat and avoid meat if you can.

morning sickness is at its worst when your stomach is empty. some women find it helpful to keep saltines by the bed and eat a few before they even get out of bed in the morning of if they wake up at night.

also, it helps to snack on saltine crackers, toast with fruit spread, or dry cereal perhaps throughout the day. i knew one woman who ate almost nothing but watermelon during her first trimester, and it really helped her.

for the vast majority of women, morning sickness goes away after 10 to 12 weeks. I am in my 15th week starting tomorrow and my morning sickness is completely gone.

good luck and don't worry it will get better!

personally, i would try to avoid medications if you possibly can, and especially since you are not vomiting. you never know what those will do to the baby. I heard the seasick bands are very helpful. Here's where you can buy them:
