Ok, I'm stuck and I've checked all the walkthroughs online and they haven't helped me.
I'm in or around strut F. I've stopped at a crossing, which is booby trapped, and I need to shoot at a number of bombs to defuse them, and then cross this walkway. I need a sniper rifle. I've been told that there is a sniper rifle in the warehouse in strut f, but I cant find it. Does anyone know where exactly I can find the sniper rifle? Is it even in strut f?
I've tried using a regular gun but it's not accurate enough to defuse all the bombs.
Any ideas?

It's in the warehouse strut, which I think is strut F. However, the bridge where you need to defuse the triggers by firing is closer to strut D; methinks you are looking in the wrong place.
In any case, you will need to use the PAN cards to check in some of the doors. If you do not have the appropriate access rights, you can not yet cross the bridge; the Ninja will give you the necessary keycard.

your still playing this game metal gear solid 4 is coming out and your still playing this game play something like metal gear solid 3 at least trust me you will have way more fun playing
