Yes I've heard of it, don't play it myself. You are misspelling it too, its total annihilation. I think Total Annihilation 2 came out in 2004 and that was the last version....The game's designer Chris Taylor and his company Gas Powered Games is currently developing Supreme Commander, which has been called TA's "spiritual successor", according to Wikipedia....

It was a sci-fi strategy game created in 1997. There is now a game being created called Supreme Commander which supposed to be based somewhat on Total Annihilation, but not a real sequal.
