Hey boo, look, I did the samething with my now X. I wanted to work things out but at the same time I didn't want too. She wanted to end the separation and continue on, but I, having been away from all the complaining and what have for 2 years wasn't real anxious to come back. I guess I wanted to teach her a lesson about what I don't remember but long story short I didn't and we finally got mediation yesterday. Nobody wants to get a divorce, but its a necessary evil. Its true ur looking at 4 to $500 to file for divorce yourself but make sure its what you want and definitely make sure its what he wants. If you can reconcile do so, if I had to go thru all this **** my X and I have gone thru thus far, I would have stayed and just worked it out. Divorce is rough, he might not want to let u go and vice-versa, b/c let's be honest, you're waiting around just like he is. If you both want to be together find a way to make it happen, if not, get the paperwork started b/c some divorces are short and some can drag on and on. Good luck to whatever decision u make.

divorce is a legal term by the court
something that you practiced for more than 2 1/2 yrs now.
get it done so you and he can move on or get back together and make it work

Now would be a good time. Get it over so you both can move your lives forward. His reasons are either emotional denial, or financial. Maybe you should just file the papers and get the process in motion. After all, it was his idea to begin with, right?

HE is waiting for you to file, so you can pay for the divorce. You file and ask That he pay atty. fees for both sides , that'll get him shuffling.
