You need to get it to a vet asap.In the meantime, treat for shock.Wrap it in a warm cloth and put it in a shoe box or other small container with a heating pad underneath set on low.Warm a little Gatorade or Pedialyte-don't get it hot, just warm-and give the hamster a drop at a time. Then call the vet and make an appointment to have it examined. It may need antibiotics.

The only answer is to follow these steps...
1: insert two pieces of bread into a toaster...
2: await for the smell of warming bread.
3: prepare a frying pan with some heated oil.
4: Put hamster in pan and warm (thus increasing body temperature)
- If noises arise, cease process.
5: When juices run clear, place hamster on toast.
6: Add lea & Perrins to taste.
Best prepared with salad, to provide a balanced diet.
(what else is a dead hamster useful for?... Oooh! Do you have a cat??!)

It probably got too cool and is starting to go into hibernate mode
Try warming it up by placing a hot water bottle in the cage and putting the hamster on a towel on top of it. Often when they are warmed up they perk up and become more lively. If that doesnt work its time to see the vet. How old is it? They tend to live to about 2-3 years, so it may simply be slowing down and close to passing if it is about this age.

Yeh sadly I think you may find this little hamster has passed away. As you said it is still under warrenty as you put it - the chances are it was just a young hamster that didnt take to the stress of moving home very well - it happens they are fragile creatures.
Dont worry it is not because of something you have done. If you hamster is complelty still and falls over when you move it - it is most definatly dead.
Hibernation is a nice thought but is very unlikely.
Sorry for your loss!

I don't think they'd fight if they have always been together, but if they have not then they do fight for territory. It sounds like he is sick, and is getting ready to pass, hopefully your other hamster will be alright. We've had hamsters as kids and I don't remember them living very long 1 or 2 years maybe. Sorry, about poor hammey:( Maybe seperate him from the other hamster for now and give him food and water, a cozy place to sleep and hope he comes around.

I guess by now, the question would of resolved itself one way or another, i just wanted to add to some of the comments by people that said that hamsters can not live together, i have 2 hamsters that are living together perfectly happily, they eat sleep and play together, it all depends on what kind of hamsters you have, many kinds of dwarf hamsters can live together in pairs, mine are Chinese dwarf, but your bigger ones like golden and syrian can not, they WILL fight to the death. Good luck, hope your hamster has pulled through!

Sorry about that... But that hamster is dead. Best you can do is if you are feeling down about this to go see a counsler.
But everything has to go. Getting another hamster and naming it after the first might help you cope.

I have had many small animals (gerbils, rats etc.). You hamster is dying. Although I love my pets and always take them to the vet when appropriate, I wouldn't suggest taking a dying hamster to the vet. All that will acomplish is a vet bill, and I would bet good money that the animal will still die.

this sounds very serious, when the body temperature of any animal goes down and their body gets cold, it's a justified cause for worry. If you're willing to spend the money, I would advise getting your hamster to the vet as soon as possible.
