Any good halloween costume ideas for a 3 year old?

a ghost, use a white sheet and cut holes in it.
a baby, have her/him wear pjs and carry a bottle or a pacifier.
a hobo, old clothes and a stick to tie a bandana to, use dirty, leafs and snarl up thier hair, they can carry a bag with cans and bottles in.
the living dead, use white make-up and dark make-up to make them look "dead" they can use dirt on thier clothes to make them look like they rose from the dead, the best thing is they can wear what they want.

My 3 year old son wanted to be a crossing guard! A little construction paper stop sign with a stick, and an orange hunting jacket with "Traffic Control" written on the back and he is the happiest little boy in town! Who needs to spend millions??? Just ask your 3 year old what they REALLY want to be, if they say they don't know, what about just a ghost or farmer or even dress up like a parent? These are all cheap fast and cute ideas that have been going around for kids around here.....one is even a truck driver LOL

My son (3) wanted to go as a skeleton. Old Navy has some long sleeve T's on clearance, that had the skeleton print. He can wear black pants. You can paint his face white and his nose black, if you wish.

Old Navy may also have some other character t's on sale, if he wants to go as something else. Buy a size too big so he can wear it next year. He can also wear the T under another shirt or sweater, during the cold months.

The best idea I ever saw was a large clear trash bag with 2 holes in the bottom for the legs to go thru and then FILLED with lots of small colored balloons & then gently gathered & tied at the neck. A bag of jellybeans!

Comfort and safety are most important. How about a puppy or a bear? Let him/her her wear something he/she can run around in and not trip over. The costume means more to you than it does to your child at this stage.

Very quick, simple & last minute. "Christmas Present"...Let your child pick a color or design for their wrapping paper. Pick a coordinating ribbon color. Pick a box size. Cut hole in the top of the box for their head, sides for their arms, and wrap your box. It is very cute and your child will definately stand out from all the scream masks wearing black robes.lol...The best part is the total cost is anywhere from $1 on up depending on your wrapping paper. :)
