On the one hand, I really do want to vote in November like I usually do....and I'd have to hustle to get it done today, but....

On the other....the polling place where I usually vote is in my apartment building, and lately a lot of my building is a total mess, too much so for it to get cleaned up and ready in time, and people aren't telling the folks who live here--like me--*where* the alternative polling location is.

So I may have to vote early so I *actually GET TO* vote.

But enough about me....what about you guys, anyone else voting early....?

Just to clarify, I live in a state, in Illinois, where I can go to the County Clerk/Registrar's office and vote early by personal appearance at that office. I am not sure how it works in other states....

I always vote early. I am sure it is done, the lines are shorter, and I can ignore the BS that comes out in the last 2 weeks before an election

voting early at the polls or absentee ballot?? I won't do absentee ballot because I like the feeling of actually going down and voting, I know it probably sounds stupid, but it makes me feel better, it makes me feel like I'm really voting... I'm not voting at the polls early this year, because I did that during the last Presidential Election and had to stand in line for 4 hours, and I heard that people that actually went on voting day, it wasn't nearly as bad.. so this year I'm going on Nov 7

I've already voted, by absentee ballot. It saves the hassle of going to the polling place and I can sit at my desk and fill out my ballot.

When I vote early I miss out on the last minute smear campaigns that some of the candidates run which is another plus.

I'm voting by absentee ballot because I go to college in another state from where I live.

I voted last Saturday. I don't like to go after work, because the line is so long, so I try to go on the weekend.

I vote early to avoid the rush. It's so much easier to go to the county courthouse.

very sturdy...which you took the time to state your motives for balloting against a definite candidate based upon your examination of that individual's balloting checklist...yet...VALUEs are the inspiration of one's vote. different strokes for various persons...i do no longer share your values as a conservative...consequently, i'm balloting for the basically liberal guy in this election...Barack Obama....i've got already examined his checklist and that i like what I see approximately him....
