what the **** do you find funny about that? Would you think it was funny if it happened to you? Stop and think about it for a minute people everyday are being raped or molested and kids at school are making jokes aobut it. Thats not cool!!!

All right I think I'm going to get crap for this but here it goes..... Cause we joke about think\gs that are taboo and that makes it funny. I use a joke all the time ,I use it whenever someone gets mad at an idea I mention or the get angry about something that doesn't seem to justify the amount of anger they have, it goes..." Don't get mad at me 'cause your uncle used to touch you." I find it funny as hell and more often than not anyone overhearing it have to giggle, but I think their response is just shock that someone said it. But I guess that is why I use it. It (the joke) was originally "Don't get mad at me because you hate your daddy." That was used to respond to a pierced face tattoo covered angry boy. He just stopped being an @SS and said, "I don't hate my daddy." then got quiet. So we modified and use it for all kinds of slap downs. Second part in this day and age like there is anyone out there that hasn't been touched! You can't dwell on it that is how more bad happens break the chain and move on! No it is not cool when people say it to be mean or to be funny at someones expense. But comedy is not pretty!

Because they are SICK and are crying out for attention, those people should be locked up in a looney bin!
My sister has come up with an elaborate story about her and I being molested, and how our mother never did anything about it... Where was I?? I don't recall this ever happening. Clearly she is sick and is in desperate need of help, I am in my 30's and soon she will be too~ It's strange how she waited until we were having problems to bring this up... two words, NUT JOB
And NO, it's not a joking matter by any means! It is just a sick cry for help.

Humor is peoples way of dealing with tough issues. Why do people think it's funny when a cartoon character hits another character on the head with a huge mallet?
It's just the way people cope.

How terribly sad. Kids at school has a tendency to go with the crowd. And, a lot has to do with home up bringing. some are not taught respect at an early age. I agree with you 100%. This is wrong, wrong, wrong. Any one acting like this should be reprehended for it.

Some people do this because the subject is extremely uncomfortable to them. Maybe they have been abused and do not know any other way of handling it. In either case it is NOT funny in ANY way! It is a very serious problem in this world!!

Because they don't quite "get it"; they've never "been there". Had they lived through any kind of traumatic experience as such,m they wouldn't joke around about it, I can guarantee you *that*!
They mostly joke around about issues they don't understand out of either ignorance or nervousness. Say for instance a gay guy would joke around about gays 'cos he doesn't want anyone to know that he's gay.
People could also joke around about something like that 'cos they don't know what else to say...

I agree with you. I Do not think it is something to joke about. I HATE MAMA JOKES too bc my husband lost his and he hates them too and i hate them bc she was my second momma. It hurts some people bc they have no momas. So i do not think mamma jokes are good either. I do agree with you about the raped and molested i do not think that is somehting to joke about either.

People have a tendency to joke about the things that scare them the most - death, violence, etc. It's their way of reassuring themselves - kind of like whistling past a graveyard to show you're not afraid. I don't think they truly mean whatever it is they're saying.

That's typical for the generation growing up today. So much violent video games and television has made them desensitized and so they now think it is funny. Like mindless zombies.
