I am leaving my job in 4 weeks and cant leave earlier because we have a major project on and I need the reference. But every day I walk out of the office SO stressed/upset and angry that I just want to cry. It's a nightmare. What's worst is that it's not just the boss it's the two people I work closest to aswell, they are just horrible horrible people.
How do I cope?

Your best bet, is to be as pleasant as possible to your co-workers until your departure. You need to leave the office at the office when you get home. Kick yourself every time you have a work related thought at home. you will be leaving soon and will be making new friends at your new job. Alot of the tension in your current place of employment is probably due to the fact you are leaving the team. If you are cheerful and helpful ( I am sure you are already) perhaps you're current co-workers will learn from your example., if not grin and bear it, just leave the stress at the office. Good luck at your new job.

Okay calm down. Your work is crazy, your fellow employees are horrible and your boss is well words we wont get into to but calm down. You are going to be rid of you job in four weeks. Look forward to it. In the mean time start thinking about other job opportunities. On the weekends go out with a friends go to a spa anything that will get you thorough these next four weeks do it. One more thing when you get this job in four weeks mak sure that you meet your boss and the people you will be working with make sure they are workable and wont get you stressed!
It's going to be alright!

That would be the easiest time for me. You can see these horrible people and just smile, knowing you are leaving, knowing it will be over soon, knowing all they will have is their own evil personalities and sad friendships with each other, knowing they no longer matter. It should be such a relief to know you get to leave their sad little world. I would just feel sorry for them.
When it starts to suck, just give it a smile and remember that you are headed to a much better place. Deep breath...aaaaaahhh.

Use as much vacation time and sick days as you have coming to you. That is so terrible. I had to stick it out for 3 yrs once with a terrible boss who never missed an opportunity to degrade or insult me because when I first went to the store, he asked me out and I turned him down. (Did I mention that he was married!) I know what you're going through. Just keep your focus on how nice it will be when you leave. Just keep reminding yourself that you need to leave on good terms to use it as a reference. Good luck to you, I feel for you.

I am sorry to hear that, it should be that they are happy for you and also greatful that you are sticking around to complete the project. You can not go through this for too long - I suggest that you request to leave early or just tell them that you will leave early. See if that changes them or not. Good luck!
