After going trick or treating tonight, how long will I be able to keep the candy before I should throw it out?

With preservatives and modern packaging techniques, most packaged candy would be good for months. It would absolutely keep well into the new year.
However, when in doubt, throw it out.

About 2 months at the most!
Candy corn lasts forever, though!

I keep the candy until until December 10, and disburse it for my son's birthday parties. Kids love it and see nothing wrong with the candy as long as you remove the gooey kind and store it in the fridge.....or it will be gooey stick to the wrapper

You're supposed to throw it out? I still have some from last Halloween! I ate a piece last week and it tasted fine. SO I would guess... FOREVER!

it honestly depends on the type of candy like hard candy a few monhs but chocaltate about 2 months

I've had M&M's in military MRE's that were several years old and they seemed fine. As long as it's wrapped and in a "cool dry place" it'll last a long, long time. It might taste kind of stale, but it's not like it's going to rot.
