It just looks like they print their regular price on the coupons to make customers feel like they're getting a discount.

Around here the pizza cupons aren't offering any great discount either. If you choose delivery, they are adding a $2.50 delivery charge to the price of each pizza you order. If you go to the restaurant and dine in or pick up the pizza yourself, the regular price is usually the same as the price printed on the cupons. The only real way to save any money is on the tip, if you pick up the pizza yourself.

haha that's so true! Whenever I get a pizza coupon in the mail and call the place up, they charge me what I would pay on the coupon even if I didn't tell them I have a coupon. So... I don't have to give them the coupon... yet I still get it for the same price without the coupon...

Yeah that is so true and worse is that the pizza just isn't really worth the price. I never order it anymore I just go out to a real pizza restaurant and do a sit down pizza dinner.

They give you the feeling that you're getting a discount and sucker you into buying there product. Truth be known, you can get 2 for 1 if you just drive down the street and pick it up yourself. Today's times are using psychology to trick the mind vs using common sense.

They do offer discounts on their web sites. And I think they are discounting on the coupons I'm getting from the major chains.

I agree. Coupons have fallen into the depths of most other marketing, trying to make you feel like you are getting somthing, while actually giving you nothing.

a pizza with every topping on it costs about $3 to make. i don't know that pizza coups were ever really giving anyone a real discount.

so so true, and it's sad. I wish there were really good pizza deals out there, (besides making it yourself, but that's work)
