Been watching a lot of HGTV shows and whatnot. How hard is it to get into real estate investing?

I definitely have the credit to do get funded. I just don't know how to get started.

Stop watching so much T.V.

They make it look MUCH easier than it really is.

That even sounds hard! I threw my back out flipping the mattress!

Look for a local investors club. Get your hands on some books recommended by the club members. Learn all you can without buying a house yet. Learn about financing options, what the local trends and customs are. See if anyone will let you "shadow" them through an entire transaction. They might if you offer some free physical labor. It doesn't hurt to learn how to repair houses too.

VERY IMPORTANT - Learn how to find a house with "The right things wrong.",

There is a lot of sucess in flipping, just make sure you read the market. I've dabbled in foreclosure investing. The key right now is to buy low, rent, and hold until the seller's maket regains its steam
