I think the veil is always thin, but maybe more people are aware of how thin it actually is!

Yes. Halloween/samhain is the last harvest - the blood harvest. Flocks were thinned, and the animals that were culled helped people live through the winter. In the northern hemisphere, the wheel turns to darkness and and cold - nearly all visible plant life goes dormant. Regardless of one's religion or beliefs (or lack thereof), halloween is steeped so deeply in these associations that it's hard not to feel the veil begin to part. It's a cultural meme that lives in us all.

I believe that veil is always a thin one... We are, as a whole, taught from a young age to through a heavy curtain over our eyes.
Our lives are constantly touched by our those who've left this earthly plane, ancestors and guides.

I don't think there is a veil at all. If Jesus is said to touch the lives of millions ... then I don't think there is anything dividing our world from their's.
