no way, this wouldnt keep those ranting and raving racists quiet, it would make them rant and rave more. For example if you put a racist person in a room full of blacks( we all the stereotype about blacks) then the racist would have his veiws validated. The hate would not go away. And what good is it for racist not to speak about it? They stiill harbor those ill feelings...
As well, you just have to ignor those ppl. If they want to live a suckie life full of hate, then let them.
I wish there could be somethng done about racists too...but violence is not the answer luv...

no i truly do not think this would stop the hate. As these people in this supposed room would just get angrier. When I see offensive things written here I think two things.
1. These people are just dogs who love to get a rise out of people, and no matter how you answer them, they are so opiniated they dont care anyways.
2. People are racist and or sexist, and say things in bad form.
Generaly I try to help people with good answers. When i see people writing offensive emails, generaly all the answers to the question are negative. Like a lot of responses saying, racist!, or **ck you! How is this going to help an individual to grow and llearn the ways of his folleys.
However I must say the amounts of ignorance on here are truly overwhelming. Seeing alll these racist, bigot type people realy scares me, and makes me wonder for the future.

No I don't. If you locked a racist in a room so he could be abused by the race that he dislikes he would only walk away hating them more. Escallating bad situations is never the right answer. The best way to curb racism is for the friends of the racist to calmly tell them that they dissaprove of it.

i think it would be far more helpful if you put a white rascist, a black rascist, and maybe an arabic rascist together in a potentially life threatening situation and told them they had to work together to save themselves. it's a question of relating and realizing that all of our differences are superficial. most homophobes i know have never met a gay person. people fear the unknown.

I do not believe this would help the situation at all. I think that this would make it 10x worse. I do belive that ignorant people will probably always be ignorant and why do we care about these people anyways.

I don't think so, because there are even more people that are racists or hate a particular ethnicity that don't speak out... they hate quietly... i don't think there'll be a time where there'll be no racists unfortunately... we're all the same... skin or one's background shouldn't make any difference....

Unfortunately people should be free to think as they should, no matter how stupid. I don't want people to be "forced" into being non-racist, or non-prejudice, the best way to do this is by education...
