As from the title you can see the problem. He is vomiting every day (we believe it is due to getting drunk every night) and it is so loud we can hear it extremely clearly in every room in our apartment. Can or should we complain about it?

We don't think that it is Chemo...we have smelled alcohol on his breath before on several occasions. I do feel bad for the guy...but it really is quite...disgusting to hear him doing this every day.

As the person could also be ill from Chemo or something
1st) Tell them privately that you are aware that they are having health problems because the up-chucking is being heard all the time. Ask if there is something you (as a couple) can do. A brief conversation should reveal the true nature of the problem. If it is another cause it may be temporary.
2nd) If it does appear to be drinking related, then approach the manager and tell them you need to be relocated because the alcoholics health issues are heard in your apartment. Hopefully management will take action on your behalf by handling your move.

Go to an AA meeting and Pickup a copy of the "Big Book" and a pamphlet called "44 Questions" package it up and leave it at his door.

could he be ill, like in chemo? Give the guy a break, I'm sure he is not enjoying it either.

I personally would not like to listen to this either. Yuck! Yes complain to the landlord, as he is in violation of the noise ordinance if you can hear it and it disturbs you.

Save up and buy a house. Renting sucks.
