y are teenagers thought poorly of?

Idont know if it is that teenagers are thought poorly of as much as it is what they do is thought poorly of. Raging hormones possess teenagers minds causing them to do things and act in ways they wouldnt normally. Iam not saying that all teenagers are like this, but a big majority are.

I can't say that I think poorly of all teenagers, and surely no one does. However, there are some that I think very poorly of because they are self-centered, hard-headed, manipulative, disrespectful, and irresponible. But once again I say, that in no way includes all teenagers, and alot of times the parents are as much to blame as the teenagers who are having a hard time going from kid to young adult (course that's why we have the teen years so that we have time to work on that rather than do it all at once!!)

I don't think poorly of teenagers. I think poorly of the people that are always criticizing other people. People forget that we were all teenagers at one point in our lives and have done things that we later regret.

Because when you are a teenager, your body is changing, and you are doing things you would never think to do. There is peer pressure, mood swings, and media telling people what they should look like, how they should look, how they should feel.
I think it's not only a confusing part of life for the teens, but also people around them. Everyone is trying to figure everything out.

Cause some "bad teens" stereo type us. I mean look at some of the answers! I do not dress slutty! heck I dress more modestly then ,most adults. I always where sleeves, muy shirt covers my whole stomach and my shorts never go higher than 2 inches above the knee ! (and I RARELY even wear shorts. Teen are thought of as unruly and untrustworthy and that we all get drunk and party. Its so aggravating fro people like me who work hard but still get the "bad teen" rep placed on them

because adults seem to think were all immature and stuff just because they were when they were teens so they think the teens today are but we are actually a lot more mature and respnsible then they were

it's probably because it's the easiest generation to pick on & complain about!. Seriously, it only takes a few knuckle heads and a few ignorant adults to stereotype a whole generation.

When people get to be my age, 60, we have acquired a lifetime of knowledge. When we observe teens doing the same stupid, idiotic things we did as teens we think "JEEZ! What a waste." Knowing what we do now, we wish we could go back and do it all over. Teens are not bad people-they are junior adults learning to be real adults. When you are learning to do something there are going to be mistakes made. The problems come when people, not just teens, fail to learn from them mistakes. Believe me there are people my age that have not learned that lesson. And admittedly there are a large number of us who are jealous of teens.

thats the age when you go out dating and teens get in the most trouble i think, but i don't think poorly of you at all,we was all your age once and made mistakes too.But hey thats how you live life and learn from all your mistakes so you dont do them again.
