I don't know about girls, or why only between tampons or pads when there are so many different options available.
I as a woman prefer neither – pads aren't absorbent enough for my flow and tampons are bad for vaginal health – I prefer menstrual cups, specifically bell-shaped silicone cups like Mooncup.
Much safer, cleaner, convenient, greener, cheaper than tampons or pads.

OK that's a strange question to ask but i just want the points not all females are the same so it will vary from person to person but tampons are some what cleaner than pad yet tampons hold the bacteria in you so that's the down side the upside is you can swim ride a bike or horse pads its like sitting in a bloody diaper eww you cant swim and you have to worry if you are flowing over

Pads but only cos I get real difficulty using tampons. Would love to be able to use tampons

It's all about preference. Tampons are better when you need to feel secure, pads when you want to feel comfortable and not worry about HAVING to change it every 2-3 hours...

pads for sure! Can't stand putting and leaving a tampon in....seems so gross to me, and uncomfortable too.
