A week ago I couldn't put my contacts in because it felt like there was something in my eye when I did. Day by day it got worse. I went to the doctor on my campus and she didn't know what was wrong but she prescribed antibiotic eyedrops. The next day (before I started putting eyedrops in) there was a hard white bump inside my upper eyelid. It doesn't hurt and it not tender. Once in awhile it feels like there's something inside. Yesterday I looked at it again and now there's a red scratch on it. I looked all over the internet and couldn't find anything. It doesn't hurt but my contacts are my only current prescription and I can't see the board in my classes. Can anybody help?

For the record, I've had a stye before and I know they usually occur on the edge of the eyelid and are often red and tender. Mine is none of these things.

I'm pretty sure you have what's called a "chalazion." It's basically an infection of an oil gland inside your eyelid. These usually clear up on their own.

If it's on the inside inside, it's a calcification. That's really not a big deal, and it most likely won't grow. It can be removed if you like, and it's a relatively simple procedure to get it done, although you may have to wear an eyepatch for a couple of days.

It sounds like a sty. My little brother gets them sometimes.
1.Hold a hot wet washcloth on it
2.Scrub it with a no-tear baby shampoo
3.Don't touch your other eye without washing your hands, they are contagious.

That is what we did for my brother's and it cleared up eventually. I don't know what to do about your contacts.....sorry.
