I think that it is the U.N.'s ultimate goal to unite the world and become sort of a hegemony. Who other than me thinks this is true, and who agrees?

you are 100% correct. but remember this the only way that the UN could ever control American is for you to lose your 2nd amendment rights. So fight for your right to keep and bear arms and you will be safe from socialism

I think many things have taken over the world. This world is supposed to be for all of us. But they do this for a good reason, to keep the people safe and i really appreciate that. But now they are even trying to control every aspects of our lives, not that is just frustrating. The U.N. is never going to achieve that goal, wether they like it or not. The U.N. can go to hell with their life saving plans because not everyone is going to follow it. How is the world supposed to be united when we cant even just immigrate to another country without going through immigration business and passports buying? This world is never going to be united, no matter how hard they try, this world is destroyed basically and is never going to get united. Not everyone knows the U.N. or knows that there are different kinds of organisations so it is not going to work out. I think Bush is trying to control the world.

It would be nice if the world had a set of universal laws and basic principles so that all countries could more easily work, trade and get along in general. We have a long way to go. First we need to deal with wars, genocide, starvation, disease, repression, torture, etc. Then I suppose we can stop to worry about becoming a hegemony.

The UN has become or always has been a complete waste of time and money. Committee rule has never worked. The UN’s only possible use is for it to be a platform for the likes of Hugo Chavez and creeps like him to spout off their hate.

When was the last time a committee took over anything??? Action comes from leadership! The UN has none and will never have any.

The purpose of the UN is to be a place of neutral ground where antagonist can meet and work out there problems. They are not designed to administrate anything never mind the world. As long as the UN has no standing army of it's own or the ability to finance one they will never be able to accomplish that goal. it's just a conservative scare tactic that seems to have found another sucker to believe it.

The UN is nothing more than a glirified talkbox, don't worry, you can sleep safely with your fellow paraniod hicks as the UN can't even prevent a genocide in a small african country like Rwanda.

I don't think the U.N. is trying to make everyone the same, it's just trying to promote peace in this world. The U.N. is not without its faults, but on the whole, I think they are a very necessary organisation, especially as of late.

Not me! I think the UN is too apathetic to bother taking over the world. They are interested in the status quo: doing nothing and getting payoffs.
