I say you are correct for the most part. It is sad how many claim Democrats want to "cut and run", but these same people who claim this are quick to throw away Civil Liberties and Freedoms for fear of the Terrorists, Who's the coward now?

We do have reason to fear, but not just from other countries. Remember the OKC Bombing was perpetrated by a so-called American. As for the paranoia, I will disagree with you about that. Most of us live our lives on a day to day basis. As for our freedom, I think we still have that as well. I do NOT like Bush, or much of anything he has done. But, I am still free, not paranoid, and, most importantly, a very proud American. The best part of being an American, is that when election time rolls around, I can help change things.

Or maybe Sept. 11 woke this country up to the fact that we are being targeted by a calculating and decisive terrorist group.... Maybe, just maybe, national security should be a priority and complacency is not an option...

The only people that have lost freedoms in America are criminals. I am happy MY government are watching out for terrorist any way they can. You only have something to loose if you have something to hide.

I say I'm with you all the way.
Americans, we have only two things to fear: our own government, and fear itself.

I see this type of question a lot. There's never a list of what freedoms have been lost. The answer is none.

I concur. Anyone reading this please research Eisenhowers farewell speech to the nation. Read well and think. The bullet entered JFK's head and it's been downhill since then. The pendulum WILL swing and severe the heads of those in it's wake.....viva la revolution!@! be well.
