Do you "get them"? I've listened to a CD, have seen their videos, yet, I still don't understand what, if any, appeal they have. I like weird humor, but it's like they are trying to be weird but can't pull it off. What's your opinion?

Seriously, I don't think they are humorous at all. I like weird stuff, but they aren't even weird-they're awful.

I love them. Jack Black is a funny man. They are like Weird All if weird al was fatter and played the guitar instead of the Accordian.

I love them. They are vulgar and immature and loud... but I love them. They're just such a parody of themselves. It's like they want you to scream like you would @ any rock show, but throw in a little screaming laughter as well.
They're definitely not to be taken seriously, except for the fact that they happen to be decent musicians and vocalists, too.

Everyone should be a fan of The D. I think you have to have a good sense of humor to really appreciate their music. Have you ever listened to "Tribute?" I suggest you do if you haven't.

I think they sound really good, and the songs are funny. I saw them live in London and they were brilliant.

you are not alone. I cant figure out if they are 'for real' or not. Odd is the word that comes to mind.
