Turtles -- like snakes and lizards -- regularly shed their skin. As long as there aren't any sores, swelling or other apparent discoloration, your turtle is fine. ((You'll notice that it sheds the scales from its shell, too, as it grows larger.))

i'm not 100% sure but my none of my turtles had this problem... just to stay on the safe side check with a vet...

your turtle is probably growing, the shell will shed as your turtle is growing larger.

He's most likly sheding.
