I am on the NuvaRing and I had my period the week of the 16th. I was supposed to put in a new NuvaRing on Sunday the 22nd but didn't end up putting the ring in until Monday the 23rd at around 2pm. My husband and I did have sex the week of the 23rd. Is there any possibility that the delay in putting in a new NuvaRing may lead to a pregnancy? And if so, what is the earliest I can take a pregnancy test?
Thank you in advance for your help!

I use the Nuva Ring and i was told that it continues to protect at least a little bit when you take it out but you should take a preggy test within the next couple of weeks just in case i havent had anything happen yet and i use it but i am very good about putting it in on time cuz i have a one year old son and im not ready for another one yet good luck hope this helped

Yes, you could be pregnant. Even with perfect use no contraception is 100% successful at preventing pregnancy.

The earliest you should take a test is probably around the time of your next 'period', but since you're using hormonal contraception you might want to check the packaging, call the nuvaring helpline or check with your doctor to see when they advise testing.

They actually have tests now that you can take before your missed period. I've seen the commericals on TV and it appears they are available at the grocery/drug store.
