He was SORRY about saying that BEFORE he said it.

I would find an apology from John Kerry meaningless, at any rate. It is irrelevant whether he will apologize.
Trust him to thrust himself into the limelight, just like tried to do about being a "vet."
I think, if Mr. Kerry truly identified with being a Vietnam vet, the last thing he would do is try to get our troops disparaged and spit on the way the Vietnam vets were.

What a joke-- ok, he did make a stupid comment that is only partially true- Like any organization- the military has alot of smart people and there are certainly dumb people. Do you really think the majority of the "grunts" were tops in their class or college graduates? Don't think so.
That aside, how many asinine things has Bush said, yet he never apologises for anything.
Kerry is awfully stupid for uttering such a thing right before an election.

I'll tell you what EVERYONE in OUR COUNTRY should DEMAND. And that is an APOLOGY. He insulted every vet and every active duty military person in our country. This isn't small potatoes here. Look for a nation outraged. And the stupid fool just gave us Republicans more votes. Thanks John Kerry. What a jackass. And I'd LOVe to see the comments from people who supported him for president. Is there any doubt that he would have destroyed our country.? Can some of the democrats finally realize what we Republicans have been screaming about?

Kerry already issued a statement blaming the whole thing on Rush. Just think this man was almost President.
If he was a Republican he would have already forced from any leadership position he held.
Maybe kysteelgirl can explain to me why Kerry needs to "stick to his guns". Is slandering the military a good thing in your book and something to be proud of?

"Requesting" an apology is always pointless. If it does not come from the heart, what's the point?
In any case, consider the honesty of Kerry. Would you believe anything that came from his triple sided mouth?
