Im hoping that it will be like my second but im not in labor like i was with her and this baby is much bigger too so im a little nervous and worried.

It just depends. Unfortunately, every pregnancy and every labor is different. otherwise, my job would be easy. Labor and delivery does tend to get easier with each additional baby. I would expect for it to be more like your second labor. Pushing should be easy with a third baby. Your cervix is favorable for induction. Good luck!

I was in my labor room and given pitocin at 2 pm, and by 8:19 pm I had a beautiful son! He was my first. I am pregnant with my second and i hope she comes as easily.... :) However 2 hours of that was pushing so technically I was in laobr for 4 hours. I was dialted to 3 when I arrived and had been 3 for 3 weeks so no worries! yson was also born 8 lbs 13 ozs... Im a tiny waisted girl and all the women in my family had to have c sections bc they couldnt push us out. So if I can do it you can too! I was so afraid i was never going to experince birthing my kids but now i can say I have and it was really an easy experience. You have 2 already? lets talk about the after pain of birth not the labor and pushing! haha that is the true pain.... That is my huge fear is going through that again. :) Labor Shmabor....

I was scheduled for induction with my first, because my contractions were *so* irregular that I didn't think it was real labor. Got to the hospital and was 5-6 cm. I delivered her 9 hours later after pushing for 90 minutes. It was pretty rough. For my second, we planned to induce because my first was over 9 lbs and #2 looked to be pretty big, and because I again had irregular contractions and there was a fear that I would go fast without realizing it. Got to the hospital at 3 cm, broke my water, started the lowest possible level of pitocin, and delivered within 3 hours. I literally had to cross my legs waiting for the OB. I pushed for less than 5 minutes. It was such a different delivery. I had this huge fear of induction, how painful it would be, how long the labor might last. In my experience, it was much easier. I hope you have the same! Good luck to you and your family.

I was only induced when I had my third child but I had heard somewhere that your first child is always your longest (and hardest) and that the labor goes quicker with each birth afterwards. I don't know if this is true or not but with my first I was in labor about 8-9 hours, my second was about 6 hours and my third was not even 5 sooo, that held true for me.

Good luck and blessings to you and your family!

I had 5 kids, all had to be induced. I think the longest it took was 7 hours. Usually if you don't produce very much, they just up the Patosen(sp?) doseage to help you along faster. I'm sure you will be fine. Congrats!!

With my first my dr. had me come in and she put me on patossin and she broke my water and after all that was done it took me from the normal point from talking to everyone laughing to the point of telling everybody get out and then to push her out it all took about 5 1/2 hours and it was all over with. And with my son the same thing came in the started the patossin and broke my water and it all was over with in 2.75 hours. Good luck!

It really depends on how favorable your condition is (if you dilated at all). If you've already dilated, then it'd be faster, if not, could be days.

I was never pregnant (it's a problem with all males, you know...) - but good luck tomorrow!
