No nation that I know of allows this conceptual absurdity. But the rationalization that the US is a melting pot, give me your tired your oppressed baloney and I'll make you Dagwood sandwiches mantra is here to stay. As if Emma Lazarus poem was a policy. Unbelievable.

In any case, correcting this anomaly is a fool's errand and about as abstract as demanding that crop circles be abolished by November 1st.

Bingo ! This "right" is implicit to those who are born of American

Yes.. as it stands now if a tourist or illegal border jumper, give birth in the US that child is considered a citizen... In NO way should these children be considered Americans when their parents are not citizens..

No, if you are born in the US, you should be a citizen of the US... If that wasn't the case, the majority of people who live in the US now (including myself) wouldn't be citizens of the US unless your ancestors are Native Americans.

yes.
i am not racist by all means, all my friends are mexican. but there has to be a limit on these issues. i know its dangerous in mexico i have heard horror stories but what do our taxes go to? to help them live here in the us.i am the 3 rd generation in this country, my great grandpa came here through ellis island and made himself legal.

If you're born here you don't "gain" citizenship; you HAVE it and thats just the way it shoud be.

In America the glorious thing is supposed to be that if you are born here you are born free.
